Student Assistance Program
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is designed to assist students, families and schools in our partner districts to manage the impact that a wide variety of personal and family problems can have on student behavior and achievement. Many issues can negatively impact a student including those related to family conflict, emotional or mental health problems, limited parenting skills, substance abuse, bullying and other peer conflict.

Substance Abuse, Problem Gambling & Violence Prevention

Prevention Services provide substance abuse, problem gambling and violence prevention in the form of presentations, coordination of community efforts, information dissemination, and education to youth and adults regarding substance use and violence. Prevention Specialists implement research-based curricula in schools and communities, assist with drug-free policies, provide technical assistance and consultation to community coalitions, and help to create public awareness campaigns about substance abuse. Prevention Services are available to schools, community groups, and workplaces.

ReThinking Drinking

The ReThinking Drinking Program addresses underage drinking through a combination of restorative justice and alcohol education. Youth are referred to the program for alcohol incidents or offenses. In some cases, youth are given the opportunity to avoid court involvement on the offense if they successfully complete all program requirements.
