Legal & Financial Consultation
These specialized Employee Assistance Program services make it possible for employees, at little or no cost to them, to seek counsel and resources for any of a wide range of financial and legal concerns.
Quality Financial Consultation
An eligible client can call and talk to a counselor about his or her need for assistance with financial concerns. If appropriate, the counselor will put the client in touch with a financial planner who can provide information about budgeting, credit reports, financial planning, and more. After a no-cost, 30-minute consultation, clients may receive a referral for further financial planning services at reduced rates.
Expert Legal Consultation
Legal Services include legal consultation with an attorney by phone, and, if needed, a referral for on-going services at a rate reduction. Legal services may be used for assistance in the following areas of law:
- Family law
- Housing and real estate
- Estate planning, will and probate
- Consumer and contract issues
- Creditor and bankruptcy concerns, insurance matters/personal injury
- Social security and elder care
- Trust and tax matters
- Criminal law/DWI traffic tickets
- Immigration and naturalization
(Note: EAP Legal Services are for employees and their dependent family members' personal legal issues. The Legal Services attorney will not advise on employment issues. Employee & Family Resources remains neutral between employer and employee.)
