A Family-Friendly Music and Movement Festival
Employee & Family Resources is dedicated to helping people manage life’s challenges so they can reach their full potential. Every year, thousands of Iowans receive support from EFR that improves their quality of life.
Every Family Rocks! is the signature event of Employee & Family Resources (EFR), which is held annually to raise funds in support of EFR’s mission of helping people overcome life’s challenges to reach their full potential, helping to support EFR’s community based services including prevention programs, student assistance programs, substance abuse services, and its bilingual (English/Spanish) counseling services.
The event’s goal is twofold: to raise needed funds for EFR, while also celebrating ALL types of families. In doing so, the event showcases great entertainment while also promoting healthy lifestyles for the entire family.
Last year, the event raised over $45,000 and entertained more than 2,100 children and families, featuring a myriad of musical and movement activities, such as hula hooping, face painting, a healthy family fair and breakdancing just to name a few. This year’s event will expand upon last year’s fun with even more information to help families!
At this year’s event you’ll also find:
- EASY ways to make food healthy and tasty for all with samples to try;
- FUN AND EASILY INTEGRATED interactive games and activities of all kinds; and
- UNIQUE WAYS for the entire family to ROCK!
Combined with music, we know you won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of this event.
We invite you to join us – as a sponsor, vendor or supporter. Contact us to learn more!
We had a Rockin' Good Time
I just wanted to share what a great time I had at the "Every Family Rocks" event at the Science Center. This was my first time attending and my 4 year old daughter had the best time! Your event was so well organized and I was amazed at all the great interactive activities that were available for the children. I just wanted to share what a great time we had and how impressed I was with all the vendors and activities.
Convenient handicap-accessible parking is available across the street north of SCI in a covered ramp between 3rd and 5th St. This is a completely automated system that accepts debit or credit cards only.
You may also find street parking near SCI; a parking lot north of the Business Publications building on 4th St.; and overflow parking in the Principal Park Baseball Stadium that is south of Martin Luther King Jr Parkway off of 3rd St.
