Better Living is a wellbeing website resource that helps your employees cultivate more effective life skills, better work life balance, improved health, wellness and overall life satisfaction. With articles, news and other resources on topics you care about, Better Living provides employees with the most accurate and up-to-date information.
EAP counselors are ready to assist you with any issue that is affecting you and/or your family members. EAP counselors provide emotional support; help you to better understand the challenges that you are faced with; and help you develop solutions. Often, you will improve or resolve your concerns after talking with your counselor, but sometimes additional counseling or other types of resources are needed or desired to help you make additional progress. In those instances, your counselor will help you to locate those resources in your community and/or link you with other EAP services available to you.
Life Coaching is a unique and convenient tool to assist you in achieving goals you have set for yourself but not yet reached! Life Coaching is an alternative to in-person counseling and intended for those who are ready to take action in their lives. Through this service you will work with a Life Coach who will assist you through telephone communication and through your personal, private web portal. Examples of issues Life Coaches can help you with include: general wellness; time management; communication; stress management; and job performance.
Attorneys are available to provide consultation on a wide range of legal issues including family/domestic matters; estate planning; civil matters, criminal matters, and real estate. When you call the EAP you will be assisted with scheduling a no cost in-person or telephone consultation with an EAP attorney in your area for up to 30 minutes. If ongoing legal services are needed you will receive a 25% discount on the attorney’s normal rate.
Financial experts are available to provide consultation on a wide range of financial issues including credit counseling, debt and budgeting assistance, retirement planning, tax planning, college education planning, and more. When you call the EAP a no-cost telephone consultation will be arranged for you with an EAP financial expert for up to 30 minutes. If further services are desired, assistance with locating resources in your area is provided.
For those caring for or concerned for an elderly parent or loved one, your EAP offers assistance with locating resources to assist with the care giving of this loved one. After reviewing with you the needs of your loved one, your EAP will provide you with resources in your family member’s area to assist them with their needs. Examples of these resources include in-home nursing care, Meals on Wheels, senior living, long term care facilities, and case management resources.
